Introduction:

It was a time when the restless souls of the dead wandered the land of Hyrule, doomed to a meager half-existence. Feeling pity for these poor souls, the Princess Zelda's nursemaid, Impa, visited the King of Hyrule and told him she felt a sad presence across the land. The king pondered this and decided what he was going to do. He told Impa that she would be named the Spectral Courier, for she would be in charge of delivering messages between the living and the dead to help them pass to the other side and lay their souls to rest. And thus started the tradition that every seven years, a descendant of Impa would be chosen as the new Spectral Courier and help to free the ghosts from the mortal world.

Nearly a hundred years later war struck the land of Hyrule. An army of Gerudos and a few rouge Hylians led by the evil Ganondorf attacked the castle. The king formed an army of courageous Hylians, Zoras, Gorons, and Sheikah to battle the evil king. The king's army fought valiantly and it seemed that Ganondorf had finally been defeated, but it was not so. Ganondorf summoned the souls of the dead and created a legion of undead warriors. And what's worse, the current Spectral Courier and Princess Zelda had vanished, gone without a trace.

Soon after, a Sheikah visited a house belonging to a young man named Link in Hyrule Castle Town. The Sheikah told the youth he was drawn by the power of the Triforce of Courage that dwelled within Link. The Sheikah revealed himself to be the missing Spectral Courier. He told Link to go north to a Sheikah villiage and find the patriarch, for he would tell Link all he needed to know. And with that, the Spectral Courier passed away.

Project Info:

This is a Zelda fan game project that will be made in either Stencyl or Game Maker 7. The game will sport the cartoony art style of Minish Cap and The Wind Waker. It will feature some custom compositions and old ones as well. The game has no slated release date, but keep an eye out for updates.
