Yes, I'm making a trial series during the hiatus of Luke Atmey: Ace Detective. Our protagonist is Leonard Truth, an up-and-coming defense attorney, and his first year as a defense attorney.
Spoiler : Major Characters :
Leonard Truth Age: 24 An up-and-coming defense attorney, called "Leo" by his friends. More will be revealed about his past as the plot progresses, but for now, we don't know much.
Guy Reywal Age: 50 Leonard's mentor, a veteran defense attorney. A very hungry man, athletic for his age.
Lucy Jackson Age: 21 The defendant in Leonard's first case, an artist. She's Leonard's assistant and helps him on tough cases. His co-council in all his cases.
Scrawt Vermillion Age: 24 The main prosecutor for the series, a very random man. Not a rookie, yet not a seasoned prosecutor. He disrespects the defense very often, sometimes convincing the judge to give him a penalty due to his smarmy nature.
Jack (Swallow? Name pun replacement in progress.) Age: 21 A prosecutor-in-training, Vermillion's co-council throughout the series. Behaves like a certain Ace Detective...
Lukinson Atmines Age: 21 The main detective for the series, an old friend of Vermillion's. He gets angry when Vermillion makes a joke at his expense.
Norbert Feratus Age:??? Chief Prosecutor and Vermillion's boss, shows up at every trial to make sure Vermillion doesn't mess around too much.
Spoiler : Case 1: The Fallen Turnabout :
All seems quiet in the Western Breeze apartment building, until Darren Smith gets pushed off his seventh floor balcony and a young woman, Lucy Jackson, is found fainted on his balcony. Leonard's first case. Still fixing typos and general mistakes.
Spoiler : Case 2: Turnabout Daredevil :
The carnival is always fun, but it seems like foul play in the big top when a stuntman doing a motorcycle trick dies in a fiery crash, proven to be sabotage by the broken brake line. There's something going on at the carnival, and everyone has a motive.
Spoiler : Case 3: Turnabout Phantom :
Leonard and Lucy are invited to a play at the nearby theater, and the murder that happens is surely not staged as the play is. During the investigation, a mysterious figure calling himself the Phantom is causing trouble. Just who is this Phantom, and what do they have to do with the murder?
Spoiler : Case 4: The Icy Turnabout :
The crime: Murder. The Scene: Jack (Swallow?)'s mansion, where a gathering is going on. The victim: A defense attorney. The defendant: Jack (Swallow?), sad at the thought of being prosecuted by his mentor. The victim supposedly froze to death in Jack (Swallow?)'s walk in refrigerator. Will Vermillion feel any regrets about prosecuting his own apprentice?
Spoiler : Case 5: Turnabout Endgame :
I can't say much, but we'll just leave it at an unlikely victim, an unlikely defendant, and there are lots of plot twists to be had.
Spoiler : Credits :
So far, my collaborator, scrawt, morganwk for doing a request for this, Zeel for doing another request, and to any other people who helped. Please let me know if I forgot you so I can list you here, and credit to you, for reading this.

Perhaps change the guys name a bit? His name is a common sounding one. Is there any certain themes in this?

Well, I wanted the last name to make sense with the ongoing theme of court related last names, Wright, Justice, so I chose Truth. And I didn't intend for this, but instead realized after naming him, there's the whole mythology thing as well(Phoenix, Apollo) that he's nicknamed Leo, which is a constellation and also kinda related to it. As for themes, well, the fifth case does have a certain theme, but that would be spoiling.

I'm sorry but even as ridiculous as some names are in the AA series, I really can't buy Guy Lawyer. ಠ_ಠ; And Jack Cheddar's name seems heavily inspired by Diego's EL character...

Well, he's really a one episode character, not gonna show up much, so I didn't come up with too much of a pun. We do, after all, have a Guy Eldoon. Maybe Guy Reywal? And as for Jack Cheddar, I didn't really remember that. I was considering Jack Knife, Jack Diamonds, or Jack Lantern, but I couldn't come up with a good enough one out of those. Will change as soon as I can find a satisfactory pun for his name, feel free to give ideas, everyone, but his first name's gotta be Jack. Jack Swallow?(Surely you know where that one's coming from.)

Okay, changed that in the OP. Ideas for Jack's last name. Probably going to be Swallow, but it doesn't sound quite right. Any ideas will be gladly taken into account, and there's probably going to be a poll about this once I get enough names.

Yes, that's exactly correct. The purpose of the test is to test whether you have an understanding of the material, not if you've simply memorized it and can regurgitate it. In fact, I'm sure the reason he put the 'trick questions' on the test was in order to see who understood the material and was paying attention and who was simply memorizing facts without taking the time and effort to actually understand them.

Legal double post. Announcement: I've made a lot of progress with the Fallen Turnabout, hopefully, it'll be ready by the end of the month. Also, how does Jack Specter sound?

Legal(necessary) triple post. This project is on an indefinite hiatus. I have the contest entry to work on, as well as the Deceived Turnabout, aside from that my collaborator has been busy. Hopefully I'll eventually get time for this, but until then, it's on hold. However, I may be using some of the characters I had planned for this in other trials, so you won't miss much.
