Here is how the method works: Everyone who would like to participate signs up, and each one is assigned a number depending on when they signed up. Sign-ups never close, but the first Star of the Week is selected this very Saturday.
Once every week, (Saturday, NZ Time) All of the characters currently participating are put through a list randomizer three times, (Process done by RANDOM.ORG) and the character that is put at the top of the list is chosen as the Random Star of the Week.
While the Random Star of the Week, other RP'ers or even just Community members can ask the Character or Author questions about the character. THEY DO NOT NEED TO ANSWER ANY QUESTION THAT THEY DO NOT WISH TO. The reply may be done as standard writing, In the character's style/voice, or even in a full in-character post if the author so wishes.
When the week is up, the character is removed from the list and put into the 'Already Chosen' list. Once we have gone through all characters on the list, every character is restored to the 'Not Chosen' list, and we begin again, assuming that there have been new developments in the AAO Role-plays to ask characters about.

Well, that is up to the creator of each mafia game to decide if they wish for the characters to be part of this thread, and then it is up to the character creators to decide if they want their character in this thread.
But in MY opinion, it seems like a bit of a fuitless thing to do, seeing as your backstory is SUPPOSED to be secret.

It's really simple. People choose RP characters they've made/used, apply to the thread, and then, one of them is randomly chosen each week to be the star and to answer questions, just like our version.
I couldn't do it, at least, not right now, but I think this would be cool. Really, we need SOMETHING to bring back life to this section. I'm sure few of us want these RP's to officially die.

Name: Nicholas Shaw
Appearance: Nick is 32 years old.
Superpower: Has the ability to see into peoples' short-term memories. Technically this power could see into long-term memories too but Nick is not skilled enough to do so. His powers increase depending on his adrenaline level. Seeing as he can only see short-term memories, he can't extract a biography from someone by any means, but he is good at reading what is currently on their mind.
Occupation: Illegal Information Broker and a Psychic (Ex Computer Technician at Hugo's Boxing Exports)
Backstory: Nick bluffed his way through life. He was never particularly smart, but he was always good at pretending to be smart. He didn't do very well in High School but that wasn't a problem for Nick. He quickly got a job at Hugo's Boxing Exports as a computer technician, despite knowing almost nothing about computers. His dishonest charisma was all he needed, and he soon became held in high regard. He was completely awful at his job, but no one could tell as everyone was as computer-illiterate as he was. After years of bad management and bogus advice, Nick was finally found out when someone new applied for a job as his assistant and eventually exposed him.
With no income, Nick's life fell apart. He lost his house and most of his possessions. He had truly hit rock bottom. That was when he discovered his remarkable power. He could see into the short-term memories of others. With no job and no money, Nick decided to become a psychic. As time went on he became more skilled with his newfound ability and gained some fans. However, he couldn't live off of his pyschic shows alone. That's when Nick became a little corrupt. He began to advertise himself as an information broker using his special ability to find out about people. At the moment he is still homeless and feeling a little desperate, so he probably won't turn down any paying work. Don't expect to notice from his attitude, though.
