Spoiler : solution :
He's on a circle with a 20 mile circumference. He starts at the top, so after 10 miles, he's at the bottom of the circle, which is technically south.

And if it's right, someone else can do a puzzle if they want.

EDIT: Puzzle Made!

A man gets into a car facing north. He drives for 10 miles without turning, but ends up 10 miles south of where he started. There are 3 ways for this to be possible. What are they?

The man is driving a car at the North Pole.
The man is driving in a circle 20 miles in circumference.
The man is driving backwards.

Yay! Here, let me think for a second.

A man gets into a car with a top speed of 110 mph at 5 AM. He will be driving at top speed for the entire puzzle. He goes to work, making a 5-minute stop after 1 hour of driving and a 10 minute stop after another hour of driving. After one more hour of driving, he is at work, and has traveled 340 miles. Answer me this:

How is this possible?
When did the man get to work?
What were the two stops?

Um...sorry. I'm not good with those types of things. someone else has to get this one. Sorry.

Also, edit your last post. You have to put your solution in spoiler tags.

How in the world are we supposed to guess the stops? Your puzzle is insolvable.

I'll give you a hint, Cardy: The second stop is the only one important to the puzzle, and the first can be anything you choose. :manella:

Spoiler : My Solution :
The man was driving at 110 miles per hour for the entire puzzle, so if he drove for 3 hours and 15 minutes, that would leave him at work at around 8:15. But if he drove for 340, that's inconsistent with his speed. The man made a stop for gas after one hour of driving. However, he stopped for breakfast on the way to work, which would fill in for the extra mileage.
AND THAT IS HOW THIS ENTIRE CRIME REALLY WENT DOWN!

That is incorrect, Cardy. Try thinking about how 15 minute stops could cover an extra 10 miles, implying that he was in his car for at least one of those stops. I will say you are correct on two points.

Propose that for one of the stops, he drove his car onto a boat which ferried him across some river or lake or something. That's a pretty fast boat.
Alternatively, said man could be working for the military, drives his car up to some air transport (possibly a helicopter, or maybe basically any transport for vehicles) which moves him for awhile then drops him off again. Then he drive to the camp/battlefield/whatever and starts his actual work in the military.

Consider that military wake-up calls are at 4 AM. He would have had to stay overnight in the military base to work in the military.

Assuming that the top speed of the car changes at different times, Lets say it stays the same for an hour. After he went for a toilet break, he comes back, but the top speed is the same. After another hour, he went to get gas. And then the temp/time changed and the car can run faster, going at 120 mph (and also getting a speed ticket  )

Also, HINTS please!

How I rate trials:
Pass:
Ace: 91 - 100 points
B: 75 - 90 points
C: 60 - 74 points
Fails:
D: 50 - 59 points
E: 35 - 49 points
Fail: 20 - 34
Ungraded: 1 - 19
The score is the average of: Content, spoilers, grammar, PW/AJ/ME style, and maybe more. (And yes, I keep a very high standard.)

There are no kinds of cars that can change their top speed without a huge repair. Clearly, the stops didn't allow for that.

I'll take a shot at this.

The man was a prison guard. From 0500 to 0600, he was driving to a bank, jewelry store or something similar. Five minutes later, he had robbed the place. From 0605 to 0705, he was evading the police. However, the high speed chase finally ended and he was arrested. From 0175 to 0815, the police were driving him to jail in their faster cars. He will never go back to work. He was fired.
