Hi guys, just wanted to post this because I've been planning this trial for AGES. It's still in the works though, but I wanted to put this here as a placeholder to keep track of my progress.
Spoiler : Summary :
This trial takes place in 2048, 22 years after the events of Apollo Justice. This case will star Apollo as a more seasoned attorney with his own law office, and will have Trucy as his co-council once again. The basic plot of the case so far is that Rosa Kitaki, the daughter of Wocky Kitaki and Pearl Fey in this alternate time period, is accused of murdering her coworker in the Kitaki's bakery. Apollo is called upon to defend her and reluctantly accepts the offer, knowing how much of a pain Wocky once was to him. Find out if he will be able to declare Rosa innocent.

Trucy Wright Age: 37 (Born 2011) Gender: Female My assistant and sister. When I first met her, she was a magician in training, but now she's the new leader of the Gramayre Troupe, alongside her uncle Valant. Even at this age she still calls me "Polly"!
Phoenix Wright Age: 55 (Born 1992) Gender: Male My mentor and former Ace Attorney. Now he's just an old fogie that plays piano and poker at a local restaurant. Despite that, he actually gives out some useful advice sometimes.
Rosa Kitaki Age: 18 (Born 2030) Gender: Female My client. She also happens to my the daughter of one of my former clients, Wocky Kitaki. She works with him at their family bakery. I'm kind of shocked by how beautiful she is...
Sorley Alan Age: 50 (Born 1998) Gender: Male The judge presiding this case. He's quite bizarre, and even has a Scottish accent, but he seems like a fair judge.
Belle Montagne Age: 25 (Born 2023) Gender: Female The prosecutor of this case. She studied and practiced law in France and is now in our country to put her knowledge to use. She seems to be quite a flirt and a charmer as well.
Patty Cake Age: Deceased (2029-2048) Gender: Female The victim. Was one of Rosa's friends and Teddy Barr's girlfriend, and also an employee at the Kitaki's Bakery. Was shot in the head with a pistol.
Donna Diavolo Age: 18 (Born 2030) Gender: Female Rosa's co-worker and friend, and witness to the crime. Is a very cheerful and polite girl, but saddened over Patty's death.
Teddy Barr Age: 20 (Born 2028) Gender: Male Patty's boyfriend and witness to the crime. He is very broken over his girlfriend's death, and is 100% convinced that Rosa killed her.
Simon Weinhold Age: 23 (Born 2025) Gender: Male The detective of this case. He's a newbie on the force and a huge nerd. Has a huge crush on Prosecutor Montagne.
Wocky Kitaki Age: 41 (Born 2007) Gender: Male Manager of the Kitaki's Bakery and Rosa's father. I remember this guy all too well, being one of my first clients. He's changed a lot since then; He's much more mature now, and doesn't talk in slang or wear obnoxious street clothes anymore.
Pearl Fey Age: 39 (Born 2009) Rosa's mother and Wocky's wife. Mr. Wright told me she used to help him with his cases, and that she's a spirit medium from Kurain Village. She's a very calm and gentle woman, and is also very refined in her speech and mannerisms. I wonder... What did she see in Wocky?

-Plot/Script: Day 1-Investigation (Currently up to 4175 words on my text document.) -Programming: Currently at 47 frames. -Sprites: First Belle Montagne set done. -Evidence- Collected basic evidence (Apollo's badge, bracelet and cellphone) -Backgrounds- More Kitaki bakery backgrounds. -Art- Planning prologue scenes. -SFX- Just using the basic sfx from all the games. There may be some custom sounds if I can fit them in. -Music- Planning the courtroom songs. -Trailer- Not started
No, I'm not doing that this time. Since I've learned how to sprite characters better, I will be doing the sprites in the "proper" AA way, I guess you could call it XD
So far I've only been working on Rosa's sprites, and the sprites I will need the most help with is doing the older versions of the official characters, such as Apollo and Trucy, as well as getting some people to help make some custom evidences, backgrounds and those black and white flashback images, since I'm no good with those. I'm going to post some sketches of some of this stuff just to give some idea of what this stuff should look like. I'm probably going to need a betareader for the script too once I get it done to see if the story is going in the right direction.

lol it's fine, Meph. That's why I wanted it so far in the future- So it wouldn't mess up any continuity with things that have already happened. If it's in the future like this, anything could happen to the characters.
I'm slowly getting the Rosa sprites done, and also going to go write some more of the story for the first investigation day. I think the next character I'm going to attempt to sprite is the new prosecutor

Sorry for the double post, but I just wanted to let you all know I've updated!
I fixed up the character list to add more detail to them, as well as I'm slowly adding their profile pics (I only have Rosa's so far.) I've also started to pick out music for the game (I've got Belle's theme picked out right now, I'm slowly picking the other songs little by little.)
I was thinking about if I should start recruiting people to help me with the sprites, but I wasn't too sure since I haven't put up any designs for the characters yet, except for Rosa. I've already got a potential evidence list written up, but I'm not sure if it will be the final one or not, so I'll wait until I get further along with the script.
The script has been going great so far- I'm up to 2085 words on my document so far and it will be going up within the next couple of days (I hope). I think when I get Day 1 done I'll let people volunteer to beta-read it, so I can make sure the story is going smoothly so far.

The strongest bonds you can make are the ones you aren't looking for, the ones that surprise you. I'm speaking from experience, so I believe in that pretty strongly. Think that's why so many relationships fail, because people wind up forcing themselves to find good in the other person, play up who they are to appear more attractive to them... but well... real love is being yourself, with someone who cares about you and accepts you for who you are.
