Thanks GotMLK7 for the amazing poster!
Many ages ago, when magical creatures still roamed the earth, and the sword was the mightiest force in the world, there existed a continent of nations, each with its own ruler, its own people, its own goals. Wars occurred but never lasted long. Peace reigned supreme.
Then he came.
The nation of Darath, a state bordering the Galap Ocean from the west, was a mighty nation. A bustling economy, profitable trade, and exploration of the sea brought this nation to the forefront of its time, an example to all others. That is, until the great king Polomi passed away.
That was when his only living relative, his grandson Thereme, took the throne.
His parents having been killed by political rivals, Thereme was a young boy controlled only by his troubled mind. He immediately began to rule with an iron fist.
Thereme, however, did not wish to stop with controlling Darath. It was his wish to one day rule the entire world. He sent spies to other countries, discreetly, finding out about their weaknesses and strengths.
He made one fatal error, however- finding and attempting to exploit the buried Kingdom of Grahk in the Galap Ocean, inhabited by lost souls of the dead. His living spies were discovered and killed. Infuriated, the king of that nation placed a curse on Darath and Thereme:
"The heart of Thereme will turn to stone, and he will be doomed to live until the stone is shattered by the sword, even if that takes as long as time itself!"
The cursed king, Thereme, quickly descended into a cold, heartless shadow of a human. His mind remained bright, however, and he continued gathering information on his enemies. All of this was done undercover, but certain nations are starting to catch on to the plan...
Welcome to Endless Time, the first AAO roleplaying game that isn't actually based on anything else!
In this game, Thereme, leading the nation of Darath, is secretly planning on taking over the world by invading other nations. Some are beginning to catch on to the plan, however, and others sense war approaching...
Summary of the Game So Far
It would be beneficial if you read the other sign-ups as well, but those are the ones that you absolutely need to read.)
Thereme sits in his throne room, hearing reports about various things. It is found out that Minoru Akihiro, the former king of Alia, defeated some of Thereme's forces that were located in Jopo. Minoru is currently exiled from his own kingdom, and is trying to regain control of it. After some debating, a young dark-mage prodigy named Ewyn is chosen to accompany Minoru, though it is with extreme reluctance on the part of the village of Jopo, which is usually very distrusting of strangers.
Another report is given to Thereme, and it is discovered that there is an intruder inside the castle(The castle's name is Grathal). The intruder is the infamous 'Tondoe Menace', Narome, who has been captured by guards. After Narome refuses to truthfully answer some questions, he is thrown into the castle dungeons to be tortured. Narome manages to escape quickly by killing the guards guarding his cell. Narome escaped, and had a chance-encounter with a woman named Kea Kassidee, and they both got emotionally close to each other very quickly.
At that moment, a giant air-ship shows up in front of the two. The sole passenger and driver is a commander by the name of Mika Cadenza(Apparently from an entirely different planet), who befriends Narome and Kea quickly. Shortly after that, Kea finds out that Narome is the Tondoe Menace. After a moment of shock, Kea does come to accept it. Meanwhile, Commander Grylon(a commander who works under Thereme) speaks to a crowd, then orders a search to capture Narome. After Narome is informed that guards were sent to capture him, he runs away from Mika and Kea to hide elsewhere. After a short while, guards show up and question Kea. When the guards insult Narome, Kea has an outburst. The guards then capture her, to question Kea for information. After being tortured by a corrupt guard, she gives false information to Thereme(who acts like a kind king).
Mika takes command of his ship to attack the castle, in an attempt to protect Kea and Narome. At this point, Minoru also shows up on an airship, having gathered a great army. It helps during the battle. Soon, all-out war breaks out. The forces of Darath are led by Perofe, the royal archmage. Another mage(who can control matter) by the name of Salfira Artefielle decides to join the battle and attacks Perofe. The battle continues for a long while, with the two airships attacking the forces of Darath. Perofe then receives orders to blow up the city of Sabolin to destroy the airships. Thousands of innocent people die, and Mika's airship is nearly destroyed. Minoru's ship manages to escape just in time to avoid the explosion. Narome and Kea both find passage in Minoru's ship, both of them now unconscious. At this point in time, everyone believes that Mika died in battle.
Commander Mika Cadenza manages to escape alive, but his ship crashes in a mountain near Jopo. Once there, he runs into Salfira, who helped out during the battle earlier. Meanwhile, an assassin named Darken heads to Jopo under King Thereme's orders, to recover an artifact that is said to hold immense power. Once in Jopo, he manages to fight a few guards and retrieve the artifact. At that moment though, the guardian of the artifact, Aaron, senses that something is amiss and heads back to Jopo to stop Darken. Salfira uses magic to get Mika and himself to Jopo, causing some damage to Jopo in the process. Salfira and Mika both argue with Darken, who they recognize from the Battle of Sabolin. Aaron runs into the scene, and uses magic to prevent any escape attempts. Once that is done, he transforms into a dragon. He then battles Salfira, Darken, and Mika because they know about the artifacts, which are supposed to be kept a secret.
After a long battle, Aaron is killed. Mika is guilt-ridden, and Darken escapes with the artifact. When he arrives back in Sabolin, he gives the artifact to Thereme. Once Thereme uses the artifact, a blinding light emnates, and the entire city of Sabolin sees the bright light. Meanwhile, Mika goes back to his airship, while Salfira goes elsewhere. At Minoru's air ship, Narome wakes up and Kea falls into a coma. Soon after that, an assassin from Darath named Drey attacks Narome, and they both fight. At the same time, another Darath spy disrupts what's going on in the ship by making Minoru's ship attack the ship of Admiral Kathryn Jayneway, a close friend of Mika's. Minoru's ship is shot down after a battle. Many soldiers die, but all characters onboard find a way to survive, including Kea, who is rescued by Drey and Narome. Jayneway's ship sees the three, and captures them to ask questions, mostly asking about Mika's whereabouts.
Meanwhile, a paladin by the name of Alexis Lockswell travels to Sabolin and gets an audience with King Thereme. Once there, she explains that she wishes to serve Darath and restore her family's honor. After thinking for a while, Thereme makes Alexis a captain and assigns her a mission. The mission is to find another artifact(of which there are apparently 5 or 6), located in a cave on a border of Darath. Alexis accepts, and along with some soldiers that are now under her command, she makes the journey to the cave. Once there, they confront the guardian of the relic. This guardian does not go by a name, but resembles an insane clown, and takes joy in fighting. After some initial difficulties, the guardian is slain, and Alexis takes the relic it was guarding, which seems to be imbued with the power of darkness. When Alexis returns to Sabolin, she gives the artifact to Thereme.
At around the same time, Lamont Kliner is leading an expedition to try and find another one of the artifacts, as well as attempting to find Minoru, who has gone missing. After a long search, he manages to find a cave where the artifact is hidden, but he goes alone to try and find it. Once there, he finds a guardian that he faces, though this guardian seems much more human than the one Alexis fought. The guardian's name is Avelle, and she duels Lamont, both of them wielding swords. Lamont is victorious, and Avelle dies. Lamont then obtains the artifact imbued with Ice-elemental energy, and he begins to get tempted by its power. It seems as though it corrupts him quickly.
Around Jayneway's ship, an encounter occurs. Narome and Drey have another dispute, with Jayneway trying to find out what's going on. At the same time, two bounty hunters, Jax and Wild, enter the area, apparently on a mission to capture Narome. Many people then enter the scene. Exa Heya, who is plotting to kill Thereme, enters the ship alongside with Kenneth Roymond, who is forcefully being dragged along, and they try to set up a meeting of some kind with Jayneway. Kenneth is thrown into a prison though, for clearly being too violent, though he later manages to escape. Exa gets her request granted, and decides to take a look around the ship.
As the argument gets more and more heated, it is to the surprise of everyone when Mika shows up, accompanied by Roxciel, Salfira's sister who had run into Mika earlier. Everyone who thought that Mika was dead can hardly believe that he's still alive. There's still much debate though, and the argument continues. After a while. Drey leaves along with Vincent(his partner who had managed to catch up earlier). It's around that time that Kea suddenly wakes up from her coma. There's a reunion between Mika, Narome, and Kea, as the argument stops for a while due to this event.
It is at this point that another issue is brought up. Narome hasn't taken any life energy in a while, and he needs to do so soon. After thinking over a few options, Narome decides that absorbing life energy from Mika(who says that he should be fine) is the option that he is least morally opposed to. After attempting to do so however, Narome absorbs too much life energy, and after a brief talk, Mika collapses, seemingly falling into a coma.
Elsewhere, Lamont has quickly been corrupted by the relic. It seems as though the power of the relic has changed him greatly, and he quickly conquers Alia with an army that he had previously been assembling for Minoru. A team of soldiers also meets up with Minoru, and then try to kill him, though that encounter has not ended yet. Lamont's invasion of Alia has ended however, with him emerging victorious and taking the former king(who usurped Minoru) prisoner, but then decides to kill him instead.
At Darath, a messenger speaks with Thereme. It seems as though recently, the plants in the world have been dying. Thereme dismisses it at first, but he later begins to worry about it. Thereme decides that Lamont is a threat, and thinks of a way to deal with him, first sending some spies to Alia to make an assessment. Thereme then speaks to Alexis, who had found Salfira and Byeet(An illusionist that Salfira met shortly after he parted ways with Mika), and brought them in for questioning, since Salfira played a major part in the battle of Sabolin, sided with the enemy. This meeting hasn't concluded yet.

Other Information (optional): Anything else we should know that doesn't fit into any of the other categories?
-In this game, you may control up to 3 players. You don't have to make them all when you first sign up; it might be a good idea to wait until the story develops and create one based on what is happening.
-Signups are not closed, but you must be up-to-date on what is happening before you sign up. This means that you either read through the RP or read the above summary. However, you are still expected to have read the parts of the RP that pertain directly to your character or his/her backstory.
-If you wish to sign up or add another character, you MUST post the description inside a spoiler box.
-After you create your character, wait for approval before posting as him/her. Also, if you wish to introduce a major character to go along with your existing one, get approval for the character BEFORE you introduce the character.
-Requirements for introducing NPCs are rather lax. There is no real limit on the nature of and the quantity of NPCs you create, as long as the focus stays on the actual approved character.
-If you wish to introduce a character that is from outside the specified countries, you MUST PM me the information first and request permission.
I'm new. How can I get into the game and be noticed?

Jopo's Last Stand-Jopo sent an assassin to kill Thereme because they believe he threatens their safety, and now Thereme is mad. He has instructed his second-in-command, Commander Grylon, to go and crush Jopo. Join in the crusade against Jopo, or help defend the village from attack- the choice is yours.
The Secret Mission- Thereme assigned Alexis, Drey, and Darken to go and kill Lamont Kliner because he perceives Lamont as a threat. Alexis can take a few soldiers along with her. Become a Darathian soldier and join in this top-secret mission! Very little catching up required.
The World of Endless Time
There are a few major nations in play in this world:
Darath: The "villain"; the nation that is trying to invade others. Ruled by King Thereme. It is known for military might and technological prowess.
Grahk: The island of the dead, located miles off the coast of Darath. Spirits exist freely here. Legend has it that all of the world's secrets exist here, buried along with this ancient kingdom of death.
Yalara: A bustling, but fairly small nation. Based on agriculture and industry. Has its share of mages thanks to Jopo, but as a whole its military relies more on traditional weapons.
Jopo: A small village of mages, tucked away in the mountains of Yalara. All types of mages and magic users abide here, as do some secrets lost to time.
Terum: A massive nation, filled with all sorts of people. Trade is an important factor here. Its military combines magic with traditional weapons for powerful effects.
Fellum: A nation built on magic. Magic runs through this country, its military, and its people. Very few earthly weapons are used in its military; they rely almost wholly on magic.
Alia: Said to have existed longer than time itself, Alia is in the center of the Great Continent. Many ancient mysteries exist here. Only a small few areas are populated; most of this nation has descended into wilderness, with ancient ruins throughout. Has recently been taken over by Lamont Kliner and has been renamed "The Alian Empire."
Each unit is called a Sone, which is approximately equal to 1 penny. There are a few different types of coins:
The Green Sone coin: 1 Sone.(1 cent)
The Brown Sone coin: 25 Sones(25 cents)
The Red Sone coin: 100 Sones(1 dollar)
The Blue Sone coin: 500 Sones(5 dollars)
The Gray Sone coin: 1000 Sones(10 dollars)
The Orange Sone coin: 2000 Sones(20 dollars)
The Purple Sone Coin: 10,000 Sones(100 dollars)
If you want to be specific, this will be the general guide for this currency system. Thanks, GD
- Sabolin - The capital city. Holds the Castle of Grathal where King Thereme lives. The entire place was almost completely destroyed in attempt to fight off the UKS Defiant. Repairs are well underway, but many lives were lost in the battle.
- This is where the Tondoe Menace is most well-known, as he was here for around 7 years.
- Tispiri - a town that was once attacked by bandits, but survived. Raven's hometown.
- Jeru - the capital city. Has at least one prison and a large lake. There's also big orchards on the outskirts. The Ebon Hawk crashed here.
- Vandahale - a small rundown town. Run by The Mayor.
- There's a forest around the outskirts.
- Years ago, there was a great war (or series of wars); The Alia Mage Wars. Basically, Minoru convinced a whole heap of mages to rebel against the government, and they eventually took over. Minoru became the king, but was dethroned by another rebellion.
- Minoru and Lamont's base is here.
- There is a major poverty problem in some parts(evidenced by the backstory of Jax and Wild).
- The people here mostly keep to themselves and are unlikely to trust outsiders.
- All the sci-fi people come from the Alpha Quadrant. What that is, exactly, no one really knows. Except them, obviously.
- There is a fruit known as Powl fruit, which is like a really juicy blue pear of some kind.
- There is a gang of bandits and thieves known as the Forak Crew.
- Firearm technology is actually somewhat advanced for a medieval setting. So far we have everything muskets to six-shot revolvers. Think Fable 3, I guess.
- There are magic relics with infinite power scattered across the world. Each one is protected by a special guardian.
- There is a species known as Tondoes. See Narome's character app for more information
- There is a species known as Lunarians. See Nina's character app for more information
- The continent is called Leciel.
Who are the GMs?
There are currently three Game Moderators:
SuperGanondorf (me, head GM)
What do the GMs do?
The GMs all have the power to approve characters and settle disputes among players. I, being the head GM, will also handle how the plot moves and make decisions concerning the plot of the RP. The GMs' decisions on topics, disputes, and character approvals are final. If they say you need to change a part of your character app for it to be approved, don't argue publicly in the thread. If you have an issue with any decision, please take it to a GM IN PRIVATE. In extreme cases, the GMs do have the power to suspend a player from the RP, but this is rare and is only to be used in the case of extreme trolling or misbehavior
Also, just to clarify: The GMs do not have the power to railroad the story or control others' characters. They merely oversee the game and handle arguments when they come up.
The game begins on page 3. All characters who joined after that will also have the page number of their application.
