As you know, I've said monthes ago that I would work on Psyche-locks for the editor this summer. Well, I spent the last two days (my first 2 days of holidays ) working on it and it seems almost complete, technically speaking, and my tests seem to run fine. However, I'm needing help with the graphics.
You'll notice that they are 512*384px and that the lock is centred on them. That is so that I can place the lock anywhere on the screen and still have complete chains.
Anyway, here's what I need now :
DS screenshots showing how to position the locksDone, thanks to Jibber's reference pictures
I need someone to remake the "Chains disappear" one with the blur effect like in the games (cf this )
Also, if someone can remake the "Lock appears" one, I think the animation looks weird for some reason.
Also, please note that the animations must not be looped, it must animate only once until it's reloaded.
If anyone can help with that, I'll be very grateful
EDIT : Post updated with what I need now. Original post below.
Spoiler : Original post :
Here's what I need, in detail : For each n between 1 and 3, I need :
An animation where chains and n psyche locks appear. It is to be named n apparition.gif
An animation where one of the n locks explodes, so only n-1 remain at the end. Named n explosion 1.gif
An animation where one of the n-1 remaining locks explodes, named n explosion 2.gif, etc. until n explosion n-1.gif
An animation where the last lock explodes and the chains disappear, named n explosion n.gif
Have a look at this folder, it contains the animations I'm currently using. You'll notice that they're GBA sized, which is not enough since AAO is DS-sized. That's why I need people either to find or create the animations.
By the way, I asked only up to 3 locks, but if you can continue up to 5 or 6 in the same way, it'll be even better

I tried animating them but couldn't get the timing right, so I'll just post up my ZIP files of the frames in case someone who can do it needs them.
Background One lock appears, but if someone can figure out the positioning of the chains and locks for multiple locks it can be used for as many as you like.
That said, what should the filename be for the chains appearing background? It would have to be a separate file, right? Since the character appears in-between the back and front chains.

Thanks for these, that's a start I had never noticed there was a background for it; my system currently only handles the foreground chains and locks. The choice of the background is still up to the trial author, so he could use yours anyway

Here's a photobucket album of all the animations' sheets. I can't be bothered t compile them at the moment, so if someone else wants to, be my guest.
Err... Thanks, but it asks for a private album password that you didn't give...
Anyway, I've been working with what Tetris gave me and his idea of using only one picture at different places. It required me to change the way the whole game is displayed, but... It's going well, although not finished, but I'd need a reference picture for the placement of the 5 locks. So if anyone has a DS screenshot of a character with 5 psychelocks, that'd be nice too.

Well, my images still show the correct positioning, so they are vaguely useful XD.
Oh, btw, I believe the background ones have a steeper angle, you'll see when I figure out how to publicise my album XD.
Okay, well I can't wait to have access to your album

Anyway, thanks a lot for this, now I have the correct placement for the locks. Now, If you, Meph or anyone else wants to try to work on the two animations I'm not satisfied with (Chains disappear and Lock appears), it'll be perfect. But it's already great
I guess I'll be able to make the update tomorrow. I still have to check on possible glitches with older trials (since I changed an action used for the Talk panel in a place, so that it handles the "magatama" icon), but it should be fine.
