Hey, do you start with a skeleton sketch before doing the main lineart? I know you can't do that on the computer without layers but try doing it on normal sketches. It will help with things like proportions. And heads. All of the heads.

I would use skeletons. They help a lot. Especially with more human like things. Another thing, learn the rules of art before breaking them. Try drawing humans. Humans help. Humans are your savior.
