Then again, this is a silly comedy series, so I suppose things like that which don't make any sense are just part of the fun.

I believe the gag there is that there ISN'T and CAN'T BE a logical reason for that law existing, and we therefore have no choice but to substitute it with nonsense.

Basically the whole premise of Orange was that it was stupid enough to warrant an attempted justification.

Don't worry too much. In a normal trial, we shout 'Objection' at the stuff that doesn't make sense. In something like Glase Canon, the Rule of Funny applies. If it's funny, it doesn't matter if it doesn't make sense.

Well, the Glase Canon sprites are clearly frankensprites of Phoenix and Edgeworth's sprites.

As for the character, well I'm not entirely sure what inspired Wampyr (or whatever he calls himself these days) to come up with the character. Maybe taking Phoenix's tendency to bluff, crank it up to eleven, and then come up with the craziest theories possible.

Still haven't figured out just why he has an obsession with fast food mascots, though.
