I'm making a new Ace Attorney Game! Contradictory Crossovers! It is a Phoenix Wright game that takes place right after the events of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, when Phoenix gets his badge back. The game starts when several Nintendo heroes gather in the Mushroom Kingdom at Peach's Castle when suddenly, the villains from the games burst in. But before they can fight, a mysterious enemy appears in front of them, and sends them all flying toward a warp pipe that takes them to the Phoenix Wright world.
Starring the famous Nintendo series, Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Metroid, and Castlevania, this game will take the Ace Attorney series to a whole new level. With all of your favorite characters. Mario. Link. Samus. Pikachu. Simon. This game will be full of whips, sword-swiping, fireballs, old British comedy, stupid Nintendo jokes, and lots of coffee! Five games, five cases, but only one truth.
I've decided to add more to the series than before, mainly because there were a few other Nintendo series I wanted to put in but couldn't because of the usual five-case standard. So I thought, "Who cares about traditions like that!?" So I'm making this a ten-case series instead.
Spoiler : Case 1: Turnabout Vampire :
Another murder has occurred at Gourd Lake. This time, the circumstances are even more unusual. Phoenix Wright must now defend the famed vampire killer of Castlevania, Simon Belmont, against Winston Payne and two witnesses.
Three months after Kristoph Gavin's trial, Phoenix has just told his apprentice, Apollo Justice, about the strange case the other day. Apollo, of course, does not believe it until he sees Link in prison. He agrees to take the case, if only to learn more about the strange hero. Meanwhile, a fight between prosecutors Franziska von Karma and Klavier Gavin is raging through the Prosecutor's Building on who will prosecute the case.
Spoiler : Case 3: Turnabout Pocket Monster :
Ash Ketchum has been accused of using Pokemon to murder somebody. Motives are unclear, but all of the evidence points to him. Apollo Justice once again finds himself defending. But, there is more to this case than meets the eye. Apollo once again finds himself losing before the trial even starts.
Spoiler : Case 4: Turnabout Adversary :
When Apollo Justice thought it couldn't be any more confusing, he saw Samus' ship rebuilt on the news in the junkyard. But the next day, a murder occurred in the junkyard. And who is the suspect? You guessed it: Samus Aran. But the prosecutor will be a little unusual. But when Apollo is viciously attacked later, he is forced to stop his investigation. Will Apollo recover before the trial is over? Or will Phoenix Wright have to take over for him?
Spoiler : Case 5: Plumbing the Turnabout :
You're probably thinking it's going to be ANOTHER murder. Wrong! Edgeworth has just returned to America, and he is immediately thrown into an attempted murder case. But, not only is he NOT the suspect (for once!) he has been asked to prosecute the case. Will he accept? Meanwhile, Mario is accused of trying to kill his brother. Again, Apollo ends up taking the case, hoping this will be the last time he'll have such a confusing crossover case. But little does he know that this is only the end of the beginning.
Spoiler : Case 6: War, and Turnabout :
Oh, how right I was. The crossovers continue! The Black Hole Army has just been defeated for the... third time, was it? Mario has found out that the pipe to back to the Mushroom Kingdom has been destroyed, and wonders what the Orange Star leader is doing in Los Angeles. Only three days after Apollo's last case, he get thrown into yet another.
Spoiler : Case 7: Turnabout Rivals :
Fox McCloud is under arrest for murder. After the invasion of Venom, Fox comes to the Mushroom Kingdom to investigate the mysterious disappearances of the heroes. But he enters a wormhole, throwing off his coordinates and ends up landing in a junkyard. Meanwhile, famous prosecutor Marco Redhead has been killed from a concussive blast from a Landmaster. But Phoenix is away, and Maya Fey is a big fan of Star Fox. Will Apollo manage to convince Maya that he is not taking the case? Or will he be bossed around by the spirit medium?
Spoiler : Case 8: Turnabout Explosion :
Meta Knight's ship has crashed in a forest, armed with large amounts of explosives. Kirby has boarded the ship to investigate the issue, but Meta Knight is the top suspect in the case. The crime? Setting off 5,000 pounds of explosives in the forest. And the murder of a hiker who was walking in said forest. Meanwhile, the rivalry between Franziska von Karma and Klavier Gavin continues.
Spoiler : Case 9: Turnabout Assault :
Solid Snake infiltrates the police department and intends to download important weapons data and send it to HQ. But he is caught after he finds out that the data has been corrupted by another user. He is now suspected of being the one to corrupt the data. With loads of evidence against him, Phoenix has just returned and Apollo throws him into the case in his stead.
Spoiler : Case 10: Knights of the Turnabout: :
A person is murdered in Ike's temporary residence. And obviously the owner of the house is suspected of killing him, thinking he's a trespasser, because Ike's sword went right through the victim. And who went off on another business trip? Phoenix Wright. And who's left to take his place? Apollo Justice. Get ready to rock, big time!
Now, let's introduce the main characters.
Spoiler : Phoenix Wright :
A legendary defense attorney. He was stripped of his badge seven years ago, but he got it back recently. Likes: Defending. Dislikes: "Borrowing" stuff.
Spoiler : Apollo Justice :
The main protagonist of this game. He's a rookie defense attorney, but he's got skill. Likes: Chords of Steel. Dislikes: Rock music.
Spoiler : Maya Fey :
Phoenix Wright's former assistant. She's a spirit medium. Always there when Phoenix needs to be teased. Likes: Steel Samurai. Dislikes: Someone hating the Steel Samurai.
Spoiler : Trucy Wright :
A professional magician. She's Apollo's assistant, but she seems to think otherwise. Never betrays the code of magic. Likes: Magic. Dislikes: Thieves.
Spoiler : Franziska von Karma :
A legendary prosecutor in Germany with a near-perfect track record. Likes: Perfection, her whip. Dislikes: Fools.
Spoiler : Klavier Gavin :
A god of rock. He's also a prosecutor, but takes music much more seriously. Likes: Music. Dislikes: Incompetence.
Spoiler : Dick Gumshoe :
A legendary (in the bad sense) detective with a very low salary. He's incompetent, but he always does his best. Likes: Instant noodles. Dislikes: Salary cuts.
Spoiler : Lana Skye :
Chief prosecutor. She was also a detective originally, thus why she is so formidable in court. Likes: Her sister. Dislikes: Someone not listening to her.

But there is a very small problem in the making of this game (and by that, I mean very BIG problem). I need some help with the sprites! I do not have faith in my drawing abilities. If anyone can make some good sprites for the characters (attention to detail, 8-bit just won't work, thank you.), that would be greatly appreciated, so please reply ASAP. Thank you for your cooperation. Also, credit will be given to anyone who helps.

Head of Project (HOP): The primary author of the trial. He has the power to do what he wants in the trial. Will play-test the trial before moving to beta-testing. He has the right to change or reject anything. But I'm pretty lenient, so don't worry.
Co-Writer: As the name suggests, co-writers are the author's chief assistants when writing the script. The HOP has the right to edit, remove, or add to anything a co-writer writes.
Composer: The composer can do several things. He can make his own music based on the what the HOP requests, or find the MP3 soundtracks for the HOP. He can also remix some of the music from the real Ace Attorney games if he desires, but the HOP has the right to deny its presence in the trial.
Spriter: A spriter is probably one the harder roles to fulfill. When called upon, he is asked to make sprites for characters based upon what the author desires. When the sprites are done, he is to pm the HOP with the sprites.
Beta-Tester: A beta-tester is probably the easiest role. He has the right to provide constructive criticism when the trial is in the beta stage, after he plays the trial. If he notices any bugs, he is obliged to report it to the HOP, so he can fix it before it is officially released.
Box Art: The Box Art Creator is a lot like a spriter, except that he is to create art for the front and back of the box. When he is finished, he will pm the HOP displaying the box art in the message. The HOP will then put it in this post if it passes.

Finished writing the prologue. Starting the actual game. I'm still looking for someone to help draw the sprites for me. And until I do, I'm afraid I'm going to have to temporarily suspend the making of this game.

The amount of projects I've seen that have been killed by a need for custom sprites I can't exactly count anymore. There's just too much effort involved, and most existing spriters on this site are already involved in their own projects. I suggest rethinking your premise and seeing if you can adapt by recycling existing sprites. =)

If you want to use video game soundtracks, you'll need to buy them (but if you can't, you might find them lying around on the internet somewhere); then edit them in audacity to make them loop correctly and compress them; then you'll have to upload them to dropbox.com.

Now, now, Meph... that's your suggestion. There are other sites one can use instead of dropbox.com, and most developers here don't take the time to loop, and compress tracks. ^^

What I meant by my suggestion was that you should look at recycled sprites in the event that you are unable to gain the sprites you need. There are many projects that have fallen to this curse, so it's best to think about what you can do if you don't have all the custom sprites.

That's just the way I do it, but yeah. If you don't know how to compress the tracks, you can upload them anyway (but it will increase loading times). Plus, it's fine to upload them to somewhere other than dropbox, but -- unless you have a private server -- I don't really know anywhere else that let's you host them on their site.
You can't upload them to somewhere like SkyDrive, because they don't let you do direct linking.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but okay. I'm gonna keep working on the series and when I have the sprites, I'll release everything I have all at once. I'm currently on the second half of the first trial.
