Argh, I have yet to even start on Case 2. >< I'll have to play it sometime later this week after I finish that QA for Hunter.
Also, congrats!
Well, there's still part 2 and 3 to go, so I'm only one third done anyway. I suggest you play Convention first once you've got the time - otherwise some aspects of The Failed Turnabout will be difficult to understand.
It's here! Awesome! Okay, Narokh... let's see what you have in store this time.
Spoiler : Remarks on everything xD :
-The title alone made me curious enough what kind of trial this is going to be.
-Wait a second, they actually have TOO MUCH time in the lobby for once? xD
-Valon: "Who knows, maybe we will be able to do this some other time." ... >_>
-"You shouldn't expect to win your first case anyway." Errr... weeeell.... (wow, just getting started and some memorable quotes already. xD)
-Payne? Well he wasn't in your first case, so you just made a flashback and put him in there so he's technically the first? Smart. xD
-Those lightning bolts sure like to strike at the most inconvenient times.
-The reason for the victim's suspension isn't important? That revolver is the murder weapon? Why do I doubt those points already? Genre-savvy or just plain paranoid? xD
-...I can't really bring myself to suspect that witness. Maybe it's because of his name. ^^"
-Stargazing!? What kind of excu-.... NO, I won't suspect him! (loving this witness already.)
-...Heh, as much as I like this guy... I can't seem to figure out what's wrong with his testimony. And I don't feel like cheating. I bet it's one of those things that are actually obvious... I feel like I'll hit myself for not noticing it sooner once I've figured it out. A small hint would be very much appreciated. ^^
I really like it so far tough. What could all those things mean? Too bad I'm stuck. D:
Glad to hear you like it so far. I'll try to continue with part 2 and 3 as soon as possible,
Spoiler : Remarks on everything xD :
-The title alone made me curious enough what kind of trial this is going to be. It definitely has an important meaning - though I hope it won't be obviously all too early.
-Wait a second, they actually have TOO MUCH time in the lobby for once? xD There's gotta be a first time for everything, right?
-Valon: "Who knows, maybe we will be able to do this some other time." ... >_> Ah yes, I admit I intentionally made some of those quotes so they would kind of hurt if you played the previous parts.
-"You shouldn't expect to win your first case anyway." Errr... weeeell.... (wow, just getting started and some memorable quotes already. xD) What, no mention of "There's no way I'd want to miss being part of your first case!"?
-Payne? Well he wasn't in your first case, so you just made a flashback and put him in there so he's technically the first? Smart. xD One of the reasons I chose Payne was to stray from the "protagonist attorneys always win their first cases" routine. Also, the guy's just too much fun have freaking out.
-Those lightning bolts sure like to strike at the most inconvenient times. I know, right? It's almost as if they did that on purpose!
-The reason for the victim's suspension isn't important? That revolver is the murder weapon? Why do I doubt those points already? Genre-savvy or just plain paranoid? xD Noooo, the suspension of a guy named "Johnson" *cough*Convention*cough* clearly is absolutely irrelevant!
-...I can't really bring myself to suspect that witness. Maybe it's because of his name. ^^" Maybe that's exactly what I'm aiming for? Or maybe it isn't!
-Stargazing!? What kind of excu-.... NO, I won't suspect him! (loving this witness already.) Heehee, to be honest I had this idea just shortly before I played a certain other case with a certain other (awesome) stargazing witness. Big coincidence, but it just seemed like a fitting thing to do in a park at night.
^^ Remember that not everything in the court record reflects the actual situation when he found the crime scene. I hope this is enough of a hint to enlighten you.
I really like it so far tough. What could all those things mean? Too bad I'm stuck. D: I can say this much - some of these things will not be completely unveiled until the final case of the series.
Thanks. That clue did indeed enlighten me. (I even suspected it had to be something like that, I probably just failed to present it the right way) Time to continue then...
-Even more evidence... It probably will all come in handy later... but how? :S
-Well Mr. Spicious was an entertaining witness to face. I wonder if we'll hear of him again.
What can I say? A great beginning. It has that 3-4 / 4-4(flashback-part) feeling to it. You just have the feeling something is bound to go wrong here... There are a lot of uncertainties here that build up suspense... it just makes you wonder how the hell all those pieces of evidence are going to be relevant/useful again and what exactly happened. ...And there were so many funny lines. XD Make sure you release the next part asap, please.

Oh right! ...I'm not the best when it comes to remembering names, okay!?
I've gotta resist this time, sorry Really enhances the experience if you play it all at once, I'm doing that with as many cases as I can.

Yes, that's exactly correct. The purpose of the test is to test whether you have an understanding of the material, not if you've simply memorized it and can regurgitate it. In fact, I'm sure the reason he put the 'trick questions' on the test was in order to see who understood the material and was paying attention and who was simply memorizing facts without taking the time and effort to actually understand them.

That light contradiction left me in the dark for a bit...
Incidentally, am I the only person who noticed that apparently Payne WON a case?!
That probably was shortly before Mia destroyed his ego (and his hair). I figured there must have been at least a slight reason why they actually called him "rookie killer" back then.

No need to be sorry. I agree and totally understand that. I'll try to not make the wait that annoyingly long like with Convention until it was finally done.
I remember pointing out the contradiction about him clearly seeing the body and the blood in the dark, and I was hoping he wouldn't easily explain it away with a torch (what we call a flashlight in the UK)... Guess what happens next.

Hey everybody, just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive. Unfortunately, I've been struck with another nasty case of writers block lately, so progress was on a halt these last weeks. I managed to finish the second cross examination of part 2 though, which makes it about halfway completed. I'll try to keep working on it, but can't really promise anything right now. An anti-writer's block jackhammer would be really handy right now.
I was wondering where you had disappeared to! Glad to see you're still working on 3-1. When I'm free with my homework and QA responsibilities, I'll sit down and finally play your second episode.
Writer's block, huh? I hate it when I get that. Hope you get over it soon!

Just to be a smartass, 3-1 is already completed, so 3-2 is what I'm currently working on.
And yeah, it looks like I'm slowly able to make progress on the case again. Not as fast as I'd like, but still better than a complete standstill. Hope I'll be able to fully get back into the flow of progression.
I started playing Deception today, and I will say that this is probably one of the BEST trials I've ever played! Great use of custom sprites, too. The only thing that I think that it could improve from is giving the other characters custom sprites and custom music. If you do that, that would make it probably the best I've ever played! Great Job!
