Just like horizontal smooth transitions will be implemented in V6, what about vertical transitions? This would be really, really useful for making prologue effects. ;-)

I suppose we could have a second drop-down menu for vertical alignment.

I haven't got plans for that yet.

The "smooth scrolling" effect in itself is easy to implement, the problem is that at the moment V6 engine has no notion of vertical positioning.
Since it'd be quite a big change, I certainly won't do it before V6.0 release.

Are you sure? You could treat horizontal and vertical positions independently. Just use the same code for horizontal positions but replace the variable names and CSS properties. :)

How about the option to make the screen scroll to where ever we want it to?

Exactly, that is what I would like. :-)

Just think of the options: It would offer much more advanced tools for making prologues, and effects like scrolling down to Acro's wheelchair could now be implemented. Also, the well-known V, K, and W markers on maps could then be handled as special characters that could be moved around freely. ;-)
